North Somerset Council (NSC) is happy to confirm their statutory advocacy contract has been awarded to seAp following the end of the commissioned advocacy service from 1in4 People Ltd. The service delivered by seAp will commence on 1st July 2018 in North Somerset.
Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is pleased to confirm their contract for a mental health support service in North Somerset has been awarded to Second Step. The new service from Second Step will start on 2nd July 2018 delivering support to Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare thereby ensuring there is no gap in service delivery in North Somerset when the commissioned services from 1in4 end on 29th June 2018.

Alison Stone, Service Leader - Contracts and Commissioning for People & Communities of North Somerset Council said, “We have continued to work closely with ‘1in4’ over the last 6 months to ensure service user needs are met whilst we develop our plans for the new services”.

have met with 1in4 service users and
worked with them over the last 2
months to obtain their views on mental health service delivery in North
Somerset. We have incorporated their feedback into the new service model and
hope that this will provide a seamless transition to the new provider Second
Step. Both North Somerset Council and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG are looking forward to working
with the new providers in North Somerset”.
Service Users that are currently using the services provided by ‘1in4’ have been contacted directly to support them during this time and plan for the next steps in their care.
