Health and care leaders in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire have issued their latest open letter to everyone across the area. The letter – signed by NHS, council and community organisations – thanks local people for continuing to do what they can to protect themselves and local communities and updates on the latest from health and care services.
The letter also asks people to ‘help us help you’ by:
- Being ready to support your loved ones home from hospital as soon as they are well enough to leave.
- Not putting aside any health concerns you have. GPs (doctors) continue to provide appointments for urgent issues, such as potential signs of cancer. Your local pharmacist can offer support for a range of minor conditions.
- Clicking or calling 111 when you need urgent care and are unsure of what to do.
