Fire at UH Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre

  • 10 May 2018

Following the small fire at UH Bristol’s Haematology and Oncology Centre on 9 May, the local health system is working together to manage the disruption and keep patients safe.

As a result of the fire, patients from the centre have had to be accommodated elsewhere on the hospital site, which has created additional pressure on other hospital services.

Patients are being urged to avoid the Emergency Department for conditions that could be effectively managed elsewhere.

This includes consulting their local pharmacist for advice on minor conditions and dialling NHS 111, at any time, for immediate urgent care advice.
