David Jarrett

Chief Delivery Officer

David has been working in NHS management roles since joining the NHS General Management Training Scheme in 1997. He spent a number of years in hospital management roles, including 10 years at North Bristol NHS Trust as Divisional Manager for Surgical and Women’s and Children’s Services.

David then moved to South Gloucestershire CCG as Director of Operations in 2013; and then from 2017, was Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG’s Area Director for South Gloucestershire and Bristol. More recently, he has also been the executive lead for primary care development.

In his ICB role, David has strategic responsibility for primary and integrated care. The role has specific responsibility for the continued development and full delivery of Locality Partnerships; and for engaging and working with colleagues across the primary care community for the continued implementation of the primary care strategy. The role also has responsibility for the development and delivery of an intermediate care strategy and plan for the ICS.

David lives in Bristol, and is passionate about working with colleagues across the health and care community to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for our population. In his spare time, David loves cycling, listening to live music, and watching both of his children play football.
